All learners on this course are required to undertake an enrolment prior to commencing the course
E-Learning now available to Schools and Academies
The council’s e-learning portal is now available to schools and academies. There are currently a number of e-learning courses on the portal which schools will find useful, such as; Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity, Display Screen Equipment, Risk Management, Asbestos Awareness and Safeguarding. However the training team are constantly developing new courses and will add courses to the portal as soon as they become available. Schools can also request courses be developed to meet their requirements and as long as we get enough demand then we would be happy to look at making them available for you.
The e-learning courses have been designed more as an awareness or refresher to the classroom training courses so are not meant to replace them. We would still recommend for example that staff attend the appropriate classroom courses at least every three years (or even more frequently if you feel there is a specific need to) as classroom courses will obviously go into more depth and delegates will gain more knowledge and understanding. So e-learning could be used to refresh staff for example every year.
The cost to schools / academies for the e-learning is a one off £10 per delegate registration fee plus £5 per delegate per e-learning course completed. The £10 one off fee covers the cost of what we pay our supplier per licence per 12 months. After 12 months the training team will be in touch to see if you would still like to keep the licence and if so there will be no additional registration charge for the following 12 months as long as the staff are still using the system. Obviously if the licence is not being used after the 12 months then we will assign it to somebody else as we will still be paying for it.
I have attached an e-learning registration form should you wish to register any of your staff. If you complete the form and send it back to the training team inbox: firstname.lastname@example.org The training team will then be back in touch with username and password details. Once a delegate has completed an e-learning course they will be able to access and save/print off a certificate of completion. You can request e-learning completion reports for all staff at your school by emailing: email@example.com
