Healthy Relationships - KS2, KS3 & KS4 toolkits of resources
Warrington Borough Council's Public Health Team have created four 'Healthy Relationship' educational toolkits for staff working with both primary and secondary school children.
The toolkits aim to support all professionals who work with young people (teachers, school health, youth workers etc) to successfully deliver conversations and/or sessions around healthy relationships. Topics include:
Different types of relationships
How can a relationship be unhealthy
Handling feeling and emotions
Readiness for sex
Contraception & pregnancy
Managing unwanted attention
Dangers of social media – sexting, live streaming, pornography
Plus many more!
To view/download the toolkits, please visit the My School Services 'Resources' tab and search 'Healthy Relationship Toolkits'.
Public Health will be running a workshop on Tuesday 5th June 2018 at New Town House (4pm-5.30pm). This workshop will give you the opportunity to explore the relevant, evidence-based resources (games, lesson plans etc) within the toolkits which follow the PSHE national curriculum for Relationships & Sex Education (RSE).
Aims of the workshop include:
Support staff to deliver relevant ‘relationship’ topics/messages confidently with your service users/school pupils
Raise awareness of current issues within ‘relationships’ which need to be addressed across young people
Promote the most up to date guidance and resources
Raise awareness of the Health Promotion Resource Library and other training available from Warrington Public Health Team and partners.
From 5.15pm - 5.30pm there will be the opportunity to visit the Resource Library based at New Town House.
