First Aid at Work Requalifier (2 Day) Level 3 QCF

Outline

This course has been developed for those who hold a current FAW qualification that is due for renewal. The purpose of the course is to build upon confidence for all staff in an emergency trauma first aid situation and in the treatment of medical conditions too.

Description

Objectives for the session include:
  • To be able to describe the role of the first aider in assessing an incident and applying emergency first aid
  • To practise CPR and other practical first aid techniques in a safe, simulated environment
  • To examine the importance of FISHSHAPED when treating both trauma and medical conditions
  • To perform a series of practical simulations including secondary survey, logroll and MILS
  • Optional third day to include AED qualification and catastrophic bleeding

For designated First Aiders, for those who require a more advance First Aid knowledge as part of their role. For those renewing their qualification within 3 years
