Health & Safety Awareness

Outline

This mandatory course has been developed for all employees. The purpose of the course is to provide an overview of the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASWA) 1974. The course will explore the implications of the act and how this links with the policies in operation within Warrington Borough Council.

Description

Objectives for the session include:
  • To be able to describe the importance of health and safety in the workplace
  • To examine the current procedures and processes in relation to health and safety
  • To be able to identify the key responsibilities for themselves and their employers
  • To list a range of areas that are covered by HASWA 1974

Audience

This course is MANDATORY and will be completed by all staff as part of their induction
