This course aims to support practitioners to understand the context of young people’s relationships and sexual health including the pressures and expectations young people face around their sexual health and well-being.
Practitioners will develop an understanding of consent and healthy relationships, and learn ways to help young people recognise and understand these issues and delay their sexual activity until they are ready.
Describe the values of a healthy relationship and the role of sex in a relationship Describe the aspects of consent and delay as a strategy in improving young people’s sexual health Identify how social media and pornography affect young people’s attitudes to sex and relationships Increase awareness of and referrals into appropriate services in Warrington Consider body image, appearance, self-esteem and their impact on healthy relationship
This training sessions is free if you meet the audience criteria but there’s a charge for non-attendance, so if you book onto a session and then don’t turn up, your organisation will be charged. There will also be a charge if you are unable to attend and you cancel your place less than 7 days before the date of the training. If you attend the training and you are not eligible to attend, then your organisation will be charged.
